Week 6, session 1

I arrived at studio today with one piece that I was really happy with, and one piece that I needed some advice on.
Phoebe gave me some really awesome ideas around my 'straitjacket' and the idea of breaking it out to the edge again to show that you can get free/escape. So I took this and ran with it and did lots of iterations playing with the size of that escaping gap and the scale of the blazers and things until I got to a final solution that I was really happy with. She also discussed with me that the initial relationship I created between my word and image on the 'choke hold' poster was the strongest and that it is ok to recognise that and use it in the final product. I just played around with the logo and the text thickness/kerning.

This afternoon I went out home to a local Warehouse Stationery to print my posters and buy the card stock backing and tracing paper cover. I was mostly pretty happy with the prints except for one minor hiccup that was actually an error in my file. It is not very noticeable but down the left hand sleeve of every blazer is a small strip of the dark red burgundy colour I had been trying out.

It took a lot longer to mount and cut the board then I anticipated but I am really stoked with the final results ready for hand-in tomorrow.
I am going to do my rationale and poster wall photoshops tonight and then make a few last minute notes in my workbook on the train in the morning and then I'll be finished!
